Melvin Guillard and Khabib Nurmagomedov take decisions in to round out UFC 148 prelims

The non-PPV portion of UFC 148 finished with two more decisions, meaning there were no stoppages on the preliminary card of Saturay night's bouts in Las Vegas.

Melvin Guillard looked close to finishing Fabricio Camoes in the first round of their bout, but the horn sounded before their fight was stopped. Guillard held on to win the decision 30-27 on all three cards. Khabib Nurmagomedov took a tight decision from Gleison Tibau, 30-27, 30-27, 30-27.

Tim Tebow the latest football star to train MMA in the off-season

TMZ reports New York Jets quarterback (and whatever else position they decide to run him at) is training MMA with UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub at the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Center in California. Tebow joins fellow footballers Jared Allen and several members of the St. Louis Rams and Atlanta Falcons in finding MMA to be the perfect cross-training for football.

Chael Sonnen details the rough streets of his youth

I'll admit it. I was suffering from Chael Sonnen fatigue. Though he never fails to give a good soundbite, it's also never apparent if you're hearing from Chael Sonnen the man or Chael Sonnen the character. I am ready for UFC 148 and his fight with Anderson Silva to just get here.

But after watching this video, my Chael fatigue was lifted, and I knew you lovely Cagereaders had to see it.

West Linn, Ore., is rough.

Rich Franklin retires Chuck Liddell in the knockout of the week

In 2010, Tito Ortiz pulled out of his bout with Chuck Liddell and was removed from his coaching job on the 11th season of "The Ultimate Fighter." The UFC asked Rich Franklin to step in to coach the final episode of the show before the finale and fight Liddell. Being the consummate company guy, he did what he was asked.

On Saturday, Franklin is stepping in again as a late replacement. He'll face Wanderlei Silva in the main event at UFC 147, but will the result be the same? Tell us in the comments, Facebook or Twitter.
